1st GPA meeting with National Grid - 6th November, 2009
The GPA held its first formal meeting with National Grid on 6th November at which:-
- GPA provided details of its structure, support base and aims
- GPA articulated its concerns regarding the current proposals
- various topics were covered, including the rationale behind the four proposed routes, environmental constraints, undergrounding and other technical issues, project costs, the consultation process and the application to the IPC
The meeting was constructive and the GPA and National Grid have agreed to meet again before the end of November.
GPA engagement with National Grid - September and October, 2009
The GPA has been in communication with National Grid since September on a number of areas relating to the Bramford to Twinstead project, including:-
- consultation process
- technical issues, including the rationale behind the four proposed routes, the breakdown of the costs for each route and undergrounding
- statutory duties
- environmental aspects
